I don't have my guitar at work so I am going off of memory but I believe you do both down and up strokes on all of those notes. I will check when I get home. Pretty much the whole song is fast, little, up and down strokes as far as the main riff goes.

At the beginning of the progression up there's a double upstroke.
My problem is not the strumming it's the muting. I just cannot reach far enough to mute the strings on the 7-9-10. My middle and ring fingers barely make the 9-10 stretch on that part
