Anybody can be a business major. Or a poly sci major. Or a (worst of all) psych major.

Not everyone can be an engineering major. Or a physics major. Or a Chem major.

You get out what you put in, sure. But some majors require less input for the same grade output. It's just plain fact. And to tie this in, those with said majors are much more likely to be authorities.

Of course programs vary. But what I'm saying is that any engineer could easily tread water in a business course of study. Not any business major could tread water in an engineering course of study.
