How come Dave is the only one going the all the free shows now, like farm aid and stuff, the whole band used to go (and with guests some times [Timmy '95] ) ?

I mean as far as making albums goes. I think he feels like he is losing fans so he is writing music for 13 year old girls.

Yeah, now that hes rich he cares about making money, when he was broke he just cared about it being good music.

i dont think its about money really, i think its just the band is well established now, and i think dave settles easier, i think lazy is too harsh, but i dont think the motivation is there to push dave to do what he is capable of. i think lillywhite pushed the band to take the extra step album wise

for sure, lillywhite brought out the best, i wish they would bring him back.

well said.

I think he also realizes that he is making more money by making these "lazy" albums, so he figures "what's the point of working harder?"
