Crush is fantastic and definitely one of their greatest studio tracks, I just think The Stone is a song that is on a whole other level. The guitar part is incredible, the lyrics are beautiful and complex. It contains the best bass part that I have ever heard out of Stefan. Carter lights it up and Boyd and Leroi perfectly compliment one another. Whenever I come across people that rip on DMB this is the song I direct them to. Its just flat out perfect.
Yeah now that I think about it, its probably one of the greatest things they have ever done. I can't name any other songs that are that good. They all just have certain parts that we consider "The best thing they have ever done" but no other songs are like that.

whats stands out to me everytime i hear that song is tim reynolds. i absolutely love the jazz/blues band feel he gives it. the next album needs more tim on electric...he has such a fantastic fresh approach to the blues. more tim on electric. cant say it enough.

Its a shame that Tim will most likely never guest on another album or show, barring some major attitude changes in the band

the stone is def. my favorite "perfectly produced" song. that and the rest of btcs.
"you never know" is a great song as well, perfectly produced.

tim reynolds "should" most def. show up on the new album. along w/ trey, rawshawn and ofcourse butch taylor on the keyboards.

it drives me fucking crazy how much potential the band has for this up coming album. they already rule over any other "full" band in this time and they have soo many new "amazing" songs that would floorish under the "proper" production.

Carter and Stefan, they think he dominates their sound too much when he guests

I think there was discussion at some point about dmb's best produced songs. BTCS is an obvious standout, personally I like the stone but also love dreaming tree. I feel is is there best produced song.
