Oh God. I love my guitar. I've had a few other Taylors that knocked my socks off in terms of highs or nuance- but this guitar- I'm pretty sure it's perfect for my playing style.
I think everyone's guitar preferences will vary. Although I was only 87% on the tone of my 314Koa, it's looks bought the other 13% and then some.
Purists would choose a wood box with a strung twig attached before going to a wood for appearance. But I like a geetar that's pretty.
That being said, Cocobolo isn't always the prettiest wood, but when you get some with a sapwood stripe: Good Gravy!
