Dudes, in concert dave has said that the "jimi thing" was a riff that he and his freinds would play and since they thought it sounded like hendrix they called it "jimi thing", I guess it relaxes him whenever he picks p his guitar so he wrote a song about he playing (especially that riff) relaxes him.

I got a show where he said its about how he used nude model to get money for pot, and so the jimi thing kinda meant, showing off his jimmy to get money to buy some jimmy, if anyone can comprehend that. I think he says a lot of things, Ive also heard about Carter thinking it sounded like a Hendrix song so he said, hey dave, play that jimi thing. They probably just fuck with people and say its about numerous things. Who knows.

well that kid seems like a real jackass, but i would still rather listen to dave matthews over jimi hendrix anyday. hendrix has some sweet ass shit, but i still have not found one dave song i dislike. and what the hell is a donkey punch i would like to introduce that one to this here area at UCF.
