I stopped reading once I got to the part talking about how he was always psyched about all of his stuff. I remember reading an interveiw about a year ago. Dave said something along the lines of actually hating listening to his own stuff. But he said it was because he didn't want the old stuff to too strongly influence new stuff, since he wanted to keep doing new things and making the FANS happy.
