They went away from their sound on BTCS, and it worked out pretty good.
They went away from their sound on ED, and it blew.
They tried to go back to their old sound with BS, and it would have worked if Steve Harris hadn't produced it.
Changing their sound happens a lot more than most people think. You should have seen the initial reviews of BTCS from fans when it came out in '98. "What the fuck is this...this isn't dmb...it's over-produced."

Yeah, thats true. I still think BTCS is their most creative work. It has a good mix of upbeat/poppy songs and slower/well written tunes.

I still think, though the songs are different that they always have a same consistency of feel behind all the albums, I wouldnt want them to lose that i guess i meant.

eh, when i first heard BTCS i was getting off of crash and UTTAD, so i too was like "this is shit!" didnt listen much for 2 or 3 months, then listened to it again for halloween, and realized, this is gold!
