Under the file menu, click "Save Mixdown As" then under the type, change it to MP3 (the type should be just below the filename). If you want more control over the mp3's characteristics hit the options button and you can set your bitrate and other fun stuff.

Hi all, I have a problem with my recording volume... I plug my Zoom GFX707 on my line-in (on my soundcard) but I am not able to get an acceptable volume, its too low, even when I raise all volumes in my soundcard´s software and in my fx peddal..... what can I do....does anyone knows about this problem???

Can I plug an amp into my line-in??? I need a special plug to do so...

Any suggestions??

Thanks

I was wondering if there is a way to take an existing mp3 and strip some tracks off of it, example, take the vocals and drums off a track while leaving guitar and bass? I thought this may be helpful in learning songs, not hearing everything, just the parts we want? I would be using from CD or downloaded songs...

Well it would require a very good editor after that if it was doable , but do you have the money ? If not then whats the point ?

The computer scientist in me says it is very doable, seeing as how a waveform is essentially a summation of the waveforms (minus parallel effects, but still that is a summation inside of a function). But to come up with a algorithmic way to remove a single track would be like a major breakthrough in number theory. Especially seeing as how a FFT has a time-shift.

But, no, it can't be done. Sometimes, you can remove the vocals because it will be in the center channel (equally left/right).. there are vocal remover plugins to do with.. basically you take opposite channels, flip phase, and sum, and you'll lose whatever is common.. results vary very widely.. One song that works especially well with this method is Stay by our favorite artist; absolutely removes just dave leaving the lovely ladies to back you.

This "Cool Edit Pro." is just what I've been looking for. And now that I've located my good microphone, recording and meshing tracks into songs shall be easy. Thanks for the tutorial as I'm sure it will be of great help.

Get the full version of Anvil Studio (http://www.anvilstudio.com). You can edit waves by removing high/low frequencies, volumes, etcetera. Basically you can filter out sounds that have certain attributes.
