during my concert they opened w/ one sweet world and cater was hitting the snare on off beats. on purpose but he has rhythm, the rest of us white people were having the hardest time dancing and clapping to the song
bwahaha i just pictured a bunch of tall lanky as white people struggling dancing. there really arent many funnier things in the world than watching a white person with no rhythm dancing.
luckily it was the first song so i wasn't too into the concert yet. i kept my hands in my pockets

its like when you go to a wedding and you see a relative who is usually reserved, then he has a couple of drinks at the reception and is out there trying to dance.

well at the beginning of it, when dave starts to play that chord, carter usually does that little thing with the beat of the strum and then the bass drum. but on this particular one, he plays a fast pace thing very similar to what hell do on rhyme and reason, and then slows it down and goes to what he usually plays for 41...another reason i think it might be a mistake is that dave doesnt start singing till after a go-thru of the verse, whereas he usually just goes into singing when carter goes into the stuff he does during the verse. does that make any sense?
No, I have the show and I know what you are talking about. Its not off beat so that is why I doubt it is a mistake. As for Dave not singing, that was probably his mistake. After all, he sings the "wrong" lyrics in the first verse.
I bet Carter was just trying something new. And even if he did mess up, I dont care much cause it sounded fine and as long as it doesnt screw up hte music...oh well.
well i never said he was off beat, i just meant what he does is much faster pace than any other 41 intro ive heard. i also dont care if he messed up or not cuz even if he did, i like how he cleaned it up.
you guys just love DMB to no end, that was definitely a mess up, i have no doubt in my mind
I dont think it is that at all. Very rarely do I defend Carter on here...though it is usually to promote other drummers.
