Is John Mayer a better guitar player than Dave Matthews?

I like Dave Matthews so much more than John Mayer. I would like to see John try to play Tripping Billies in the manner that Dave does...I doubt he could really get it. It is so amazing how Dave mutes everything except for the string(s) that he is strumming. I was confused the first time that I saw video of Dave playing Ants Marching. Sure John knows how to solo...so what. Have him play Stream, lol. And over all Dave sings so much better and his songs have better content. And by the way, I have been playing for about a year, and I can play Lover Lay Down with notes instead of vocals with decent rhythm...it's all based off of the A chord. To summate: Dave has better style, rhythm, ideas, songs, etc...John can sing about running around his high school all he wants, it won't make him as great as Dave. Peace to all...

hey yall...i'm new...not that it matters...john was what got me playing guitar...and i didn't know he was as good as he was...the dvd is awesome...covered in rain is completely crazy...he's awesome...but dave has creativity and he makes himself awesome cuz no one can write like he does...john DID, however, go to berklee music college for a while...i dunno if dave went to music school or what...
