Yeah you can, just get straplocks. I'd say it's better for throwing around because you can iron out the dents in the wood. dent the fender and the paint or clear coat is fucked.

Fenders are heavy as hell too...

What do you plan on doing? Throwing it around your neck? That went out with hair metal.
