also, the chorus is played in the 0-5 range... i couldnt really tell if he plays the on 5 or 0... to get those notes....

The video I have of Dave playing it from Roseland has him playing it on his normal 914 acoustic. Has he switched it up??? Any more confirmation?
I saw it two nights w/ the 914...
Anyways, could somebody post a finger chart for the chorus thingy in Dreamgirl. I'm stumbling over my own fingers trying to play it.
i didnt see anyone reply to this yet, ive been to 10 shows this summer (including the first 3 red rocks!!!) and ive seen it played on both, smooth rider has been played on both, and stand up has been played on both
I don't know if anyone has mentioned it, but on "Trouble With You" I find it WAY easier and that it makes more sense to play this for intro/verse/chorus:

I think that Dave would play the slide up on the same strings rather drop strings for those chords considering they're typical Dave-chord style.
For some reason, I called this initially "Trouble" when I meant "Trouble With You." Just clarifying for those that might have been confused...plus I fixed the monotype thingy!
Not sure why Boyd plays this part differently in the studio than on the road, but he does. It's kind of not as good live because now his accents are on the downbeat of 1, the upbeat of 2, and the downbeat of 4, while the rest of the band's accents are on the downbeat of 2 and the upbeat of 3. But whatever, Boyd is classically trained so he's probably right.

Seriously? This made me laugh though.
It's not really that funny. He is classically trained so it's probably a pretty safe bet that he knows what he's doing. Just because he's lazy and doesn't tune his shit doesn't mean he doesn't know how to play.
