So you're amazed as to how Dave's rhythm guitar slaps and strums so "perfectly"...but you can't. Ask all things about Dave and his guitars here.

yes, it is. It's good stuff, better live, but good none the less
Very enjoyable...after a listen or two.

Does anyone think the Dreamgirl main riff sound more like this:

e----------------------------------------------------------
b----------------------------------------------------------
g----------------------------------------------------------
d----------------------------------------------------------
a-----9--7--6-----6h7-------6--4--2-----2h4--4p2--
E--7-----------7------7--4-------------4----------------

i think there needs to be one thread w/ each song listed w/ it's lyrics attached until kanter gets the officials up.

edit: oh wait, he said that would be next week huh? nevermind, not worth the trouble.

Dave's been doing some sorta hammer on or pull off in the Stolen Away verse, did anyone tab that?

Out of all DMB albums, Stand Up is by far the easiest album to learn.

Only because you learned to play Dave's way on harder songs. For some, Dream Girl is tricky, but to a crisened Dave player, it's cake.

Actually, I think it's because it's a steaming pile of turd :)

The bridge in YMDT:

Code: Select all

D|-3-|-3-|-3-|
A|---|---|---|
E|-3-|-6-|-1-|
is easier to play like this:

Code: Select all

D|-3-|-3-|-3-|
A|---|-1-|---|
E|-3-|---|-1-|

Reminds me of the R&R chorus too, so that might be how Dave plays it.

Yea, you're right for the most part. I love the orchestration in some of the songs, but as a listen to it more and more, where the hell were some of these songs supposed to go? Like Stolen Away, I like it, has a nice groove, but break off into a chorus or bridge or something... Same goes for ODH and YMDT is an awesome start, but shit, go somewhere!

What is Dave playing on guitar during the end of the song, 'yeaaaaaas.' Sometimes he plays the main riff, but I just cant put my finger on what he plays, I know he fingerpicks it and it sounds so sick. If anyone knows or could figure it out, itd be greatly appreciated, thanks! A Good example of what Im talking about would be whatever hes playing in the last 3-4minutes or so of Dreamgirl on 7-31-05

Are these gonna be up on the main page anytime soon, or is it going to be part of v3.0? Not that it matters, they're here, I was just wondering.
