Refreshingly pure vocals and well done guitar. It sounds like your playing on one of those resonator guitars, or maybe it's a little bit of string rattle. What kind is it?

As far as critiquing, what I was gonna say has basically already been said; fix the buzzing, & slow down a little on the rythm. You've got a good voice for Dave songs, and in the future, don't let a women come between you & playing music!

Hey Mave, I am going to ask you to do something for 2 reasons.

1. I think you are capable of doing it.

2. I think it will help you get your own style immensely.

What is it?

I want you to cover one of the following songs

"The Remedy" Jason Mraz
"You and I Both" Jason Mraz

Maybe by doing this your voice will come out more sense you won't be as prone to imitate DM voice with a song that isn't by DM. I picked a guy who sings with a higher voice so it will still be within your range.

I'm telling you, the kid has tons of potential, after 8 months...shit...he's got awesome vocal tone...sounds like Howie Day singing a Dave tune sometimes.
