How do they put together songs in a studio ??

This is the place to talk about guitar playing not done by Dave! Topics about techniques, styles, theory, and other guitarists go here.

I've just started toolin around with recording and I have found that I catch my self wanting to sing. I guess its just habit when I really get into playing a song

I don't know if its that he feels more comfortable with the guitar parts while he's singing. I think he just feels more comfortable singing while playing guitar. Have you ever seen him sing without a guitar, even when he's not playing the guitar?

for what song does he sing without playing?

I've seen footage from grey blue eyes in the studio and he sung without a guitar..

he sung a few times for the d/f shows without a guitar.

To bring an old topic back up, bass is a ton harder to sing with than guitar..
