not sure about the jimi thing is about 1000 different things comment...that's like saying rhyme and reason is about teddy bears.

this is an age old argument...no reason to get into a flame war. But listen to old versions (pre-94) of the song and put it into context with other songs from the same era...rhyme and reason...even tripping billies (dragons were smoked).

I'll leave it alone...but it kills me when kids think that jimi thing is about smoking a joint. For real.

Same with me, Elliot. I can still listen to some of it, but this guys incessant playing has driven me to distaste. Simply put, it sounds like the guys totally hacking away at the strings. It doesnt sound like music, it sounds more like a pick hitting steel strings. Ugh

My friend Brett found this T-shirt at a Dave show that had a big ol' picture of Jimi on the back and on the front it had the firedancer on the upper left and around it it says: "Its a jimi thing"

That shirt is badass! The funny thing was that he didn't have any money to buy the shirt so he just begged the guy to give it to him and he promised to send him some money.....and he did. I think he got that shirt like almost a year ago and i remember like four or five months ago he sent the guy a twenty :P

seriously, it drives me nuts, my number one complaint about big DMB fans is that they are so incredibly narrow and close-minded about music...it just makes me sick and their incessant playing makes me hate DMB...
