I've always tapped my foot or twitched in some manner to keep beat. What i usually do is have my right toe on the ground and kind of twitch my leg up and down to the beat. Looks really stupid, but it's automatic for me.
i just kinda do it, its not to be forced though so dont strain yourself to do it.
