haha, yeah the whole eyebrow thing. I like to use that same face whenever I'm playing Dave.

Whether Mayer hates Dave or not, I don't know. But Mayer has got to respect Dave for all that he's done both musically, socially, and personally. I've got friends that say they hate Dave Matthews (usual reasons are that they are heavy metal fans and that they don't want to be a "bandwagon fan" as they put it). But I always tell them they cannot say that Dave is not talented. Some are ignorant enough to claim that a guitarist from a band like Slipknot, whose music pretty much consists of endless power chords played with the overdrive turned all the way up. I'm not saying that these guys aren't talented, I'm just saying that it is stupid to say that Dave is not talented or not as talented as these guys. Getting back to Mayer, whether he is better than Dave or not is debatable. I'm personally partial to Dave and I don't consider myself a Mayer fan. However, I recognize that Mayer is an extremely talented guitarist and songwriter, and I have never disrespected his abilities. Sorry, I rambled a bit, but this topic, not specifically Mayer, but about people being ignorant enough to say that someone sucks simply because they don't want to be another one of that person's fans, is a hot subject with me. Anyway, Dave and Mayer are both very talented musicians who command respect for what they've done and continue to do, and there is no denying that.

Yeah, I hate how some people will hate on Dave or other musicians just because everyone likes them. All that means, is that they are good enough to appeal to a lot of different people. How does that make them bad, and how does that make fans bad for liking them? Anyways, that's really funny on that Mayer Lover Lay Down cover when some drunken idiot in the background yells "I understand you hated him!"
