I'm 99% sure I saw/heard somewhere Matthew Larrivee pronounce it with the long A sound. Not to mention that it's French, and I don't recall a "vee" sound in any of the French I took, though my experience is very limited.

Jean Larrivee is Canadian, so I guess it could be French. I have always heard it Lair-eh-vee though.

make that "larr" instead of "lair" and you've got it down correctly according to my french skills :D

"la ri ve" is sort of how youd write it phonetically.
