John Mayer Neon tab

Is the tab on on jmtabs.com right for neon? ive been watching people play it on youtube.com and it looks like it doesn match up to the tab on the site.

Yeah when my thumb is on the 5 i can make the stretch but there is no way i can put my thumb on the 10 and stretch to the 7 and 8. i can sit there all day and try. i think its just easier for me to play the whole song with using my thumb.

it isnt accurate...it misses some notes here and there, BUT this video helps a lot...it doesnt show what notes to play, but u can figure em out easily

the fret positions are right
u just have to pick some extra notes here and there

freestyle it...john doesn't hit every note every time, as much as keep rhythm. watch the carson daily clip, the song is sick nasty

yeah he does do it real sick nasty on the carson clip. i dont care what people say about him he can flat out play. youre right about playing it note for note. sometimes i get to anal about that. i just need to go with it.

i thought i knew neon, but i can only play the notes on the tabsite really fast. that doesnt require skill at all. ive been watching him on youtube for two hours now and i jsut dont knwo what the fuck do to with my right hand.

This isnt a bad video to learn from or atleast just to get you started. There are plenty of other vids also on youtube.com

I like this one because it shows good ways to fret the chords because I cant play two of the chords using my thumb on the low E string, just impossible for me.
