So much to say

So you're amazed as to how Dave's rhythm guitar slaps and strums so "perfectly"...but you can't. Ask all things about Dave and his guitars here.

It's so funny to see the small ways that we change it up. It never even occureed to me to use my pinky. I'm strictly a middle and pointer finger kind of guy.

Just curious, what do you guys play for this part:

Code: Select all

E:--------5----------------------------
B:--------5----------------------------
G:--------5--4/6--------------------------
D:----------------7---------5-----------
A:-----------------------3-------------
E:--3/5---------------1--------------------
or

Code: Select all

E:--------5----------------------------
B:--------5----------------------------
G:--------5--4/6------------0---------------
D:----------------7--------------------
A:-----------------------3-------------
E:--3/5---------------1--------------------
I play the second way. I know it's just a small detail...but it's something I've sort of been curious about.

they are the samething but I play the first one. After playing all of daves songs that require stretches and playing them alot I find it easier to play the 1-3-5.

I use my ring and pinky for the intro. Thought dave did as well. I need to watch central park again.

That's stupid and COMPLETLY pointless.

Dave's way of using his pinky to slide on the bottom 3 strings is NOT pointless, despite what someone said. It makes it sound smoother, rather than choppy when you use your ring finger

I use my middle finger for the slide and then barre the top 3 strings with my pointer finger.
