I wish that Dave would come out with an actual SOLO album. To me, Some Devil was a D&F album. I think it would be cool to get completely solo album from him, and just have some guests appear here and there...Wooten, Fleck, Randolph, Ross, Timmy. That would be tight
are you kidding me? it would be like a D&T concert along with other guests. thatd be tight i thinkKahn wrote:Dheibs wrote:DMB

No drums/percussion or bass, just Dave on rythmn/vocals, Timmy on Lead, Rashawn on horns, Bela and Randolph soloMachtimus wrote:Dude what...? Do you want an "actual SOLO album" or Dave and Tim with guests?Dheibs wrote:DMB

If that's so boring, why does everybody love the Dave solo videos vs DMB?Kahn wrote:Dheibs wrote:DMB

Based on a poll I took, Dave is more popular, or more in need than DMB.

DMB.
although Timmy does a justifiably good job of "recreating" the fills and background music for Dave's guitar parts, nothing compares to the sounds produced when Stefan, Carter, and Dave lock up on a song. Leroi and Boyd(when in tune) also contribute to this synergy.
D+F is cool, but i'd still take the original 5 over them, D+T, and Dave solo anyday

i agree....obviously i love all 4 choices.....but i love the solo concert he did at benaryoa hall....amazing.....he is so goodczech wrote:i know i'll be the only one so vote for solo. but there's just somethign cool and personal about listening to just dave play. Tim to me musically makes it amazing, but he takes away from how personal dave is with his music and performances. I just picture him playing STJL on the streets of Amsterdam for money, then playing it in a huge hall or on the radio, pretty crazy path he's traveled.
