Record the sustained A note, then place it perfectly at the start. Then record another take from the beginning, and then start on the B. Voila, you have it perfectly timed.

yeah do that, or if im recordig guitar/bass over drums, just hit record, and to the tempo of the song, hit the strings 4 times. Then accurately place that at the beginning so it sounds like a countoff.
This is good for people who need to work on their counting. I've been outa music for so long its so awkward for me to play with other people. The drum line helps me out a lot. I'd like to see this keep going. Fun to Jam with...
