My head hurt reading this thread. After a few people missed it, I was like, wait does he have a fucked up keyboard? But then I slapped myself in the face.

Yes guys, obviously sarcasm since the thread title has a "Y" in it. I believe True Relfections came from the time when he had his own band and evolved into a DMB song, then onto his solo album.

17 replies and only 1 of them even attempts to answer his question. :ehright:

Yes...
Boyd Tinsley had a band before the days of DMB.
Boyd sang in the band. (The Boyd Tinsley Band)
He also performed in a separate, acoustic group known as Down Boy Down.
True Reflections evolved from a song that BTB played.
Boyd quit both projects when DMB started to take off.
Boyd was the last member to join the band, and you can still find early recordings where Boyd is a 'guest' on songs.
In 2003, True Reflections was released...Boyd's first official solo release.
Dave makes a guest appearance on the song True Reflections which is arranged differently than the version DMB plays.

With that said, I bought the album. I believe I listened to it twice.

It's terrible.
joe.

For us living any other ways was nuts. with all the goodie-goodies working shitty jobs for bum pay checks, took the subway work and worried about their bills were dead. they were suckers, they had no balls. if we wanted something we just took it, and if anybody complained twice they got hit so hard believe me they never complained again
