Ya you definantly need to know for sure what kind of wood your buying when you plan on spending that much money on an instrument. What you are saying is like someone taking a BMW 325 and putting and M3 emblum on the back and selling it saying it's an M3. You buy it thinking its and M3 and you have a fucking 325... You're not an idiot man, they have every right to "bitch" about the woods, it's an important part of the guitar, you know that.
