They're always pretty heavy (usually just under 50% of the set) with new songs when they're touring in support of a new disc. I don't dig it at all. I think their best shows since 1998 have been the years they've toured with no new album to promote. Those tours always get good variety and they always dust off some old ones.
EDIT: Busted Stuff doesn't even really count because those songs weren't exactly new.

Yeah, I think 03 was definatly the best in terms of variety, rarity, and surprises in terms of setlists.

That was the show I went to THE EXACT night when Busted Stuff was released. You can see how heavy those songs were favored, so...
Yeah, the difference is that those are good songs
Point taken. I was just saying that even though that night it was heavy, even the very next night they didn't play as many...They've played two shows so far, both with only one night at each place. Maybe with multiple night venues they'll mix it up more.
i can see why they are playing the new stuff. they have played all of the old stuff plenty of times, its probably more enjoyable for them to the new stuff right now. do i like the fact they are playing nearly 50% of the set with new songs? no

I agree with mbgreen. I like non-new album tours much better.
I don't mind hearing some new stuff. I didn't mind it last summer when he played 4 new songs EVERY concert. I just don't like it being shoved down our throats(8-9 songs). Unfortunately, they strayed from their recipe of new songs from last summer(hello again, joy ride, etc.)
