I still am not that impressed. I look at it this way:
First time I heard UTTAD, Crash, BTCS, and the live LWS (still remember grey st. shivers) I was instantly struck, taken by the songs.
I shit on Everyday when it came out.
I farted in Busted Stuff's general direction.
This single is ok. But not that good really. If it was any other band singing it/playing the same music, it would have slipped under the radar.
The good stuff never had to "grow on me." And though I'm not pissed or anything, I'm not too stoked either.

When my mom came home with UTTAD in 1994 and played it for me and my brother, I thought it was only ok. I only liked WWYS, Sattelite, and Ants. Then my brother forced me to buy Crash when it came out. I only liked the last songs on the disc, none of the early ones. I eventualy went back to UTTAD and after listening to it more times, I loved it. I eventualy gave the first 5 tracks on Crash a chance, and liked them. Then when I got BTCS, I heard it, didn't like it too much, but knowing the reaction I had from the past 2 albums, I kept listening til I loved it.mbgreen wrote:I still am not that impressed. But on all albums since then, I have loved the stuff right away.
Yes, I am in a box

Alright, after hearing this song a few times, I really really like it. I just wish it was extended a little longer. Hopefully we will get a 10 minute live version this summer. As for liking it right away, I had Crash for a good 4 years before I even started liking DMB a lot. I think BTCS is their best, but even that took a couple years to grow on me. UTAD immediately gripped me, but the raw feeling of that album is never going to be duplicated. Those songs are the core of DMB.
