If you only have $400 I would reccomend you only buy one guitar.
yeah, 2 decent guitars for 400 is pretty much impossible.
AHA not so! well, not in the month of march at guitar center... see the tak is a discontinued model from the 2004 line, so its marked off a lot...

I guess it's settled then, all you have to do now is decide what color laminate you want red, blue or green.
well i mean if i get there and all thats on sale is shit, then fuck that, ill save my money, but if they have some decent stuff ill see, i mean theyre offering a new 214 for $819

Well the only taks I saw that would allow you to buy two guitars were laminate back and sides.
When you go to nashville you should go to corner music (http://cornermusic.com/) they carry Takamine, Blueridge and Larrivee. I checked out their site and they have Larrivee L-01 and OM-01 in stock. Fairly rare guitars to find new as they haven't made them in a few years. They only show the list price on the website (850$) but you should be able to get it for between 500 and 600 even if you can't swing that much you should at least check them out.
well see a tak list for $200 or so is shit, but it lists for like 500 and its a year old, im not saying i plan to do this, but i mean if they have a lot of good acoustics on sale i might, but prolly not... anyway i saw corner music... im plannin to go to gruhn just to look around, guitar heaven, chambers music, both locations, and rock block guitars... also im gonna go by the everest in nashville, valley arts guitars... cause umm as im sure you know that place kicks ass... do you live in nashville?

Even the Tak that lists for 500$ has laminate back and sides. A laminate guitar doesn't improve over time the same way a solid wood one will. I don't live in Nashville but have been through there a few times. I haven't been to corner music but I was checking on the web about other shops in Nashville and noticed that corner carried Taks, Blueridge and Larrivees among others and thought you might be interested.

ah yes, well like i said, if they are only selling their shitty stuff ill leave empty handed, but seeing a few martins and taylors in their flyer for this im hopeful, but if all i can get for my money from them is a laminate or somethin, then fuck that.
If you are looking for a solid small body guitar, you really ought to check out some Blueridge guitars. I was going to get one untill I ran into a flippin' sweet deal at GC on a Martin 000X1. You can get a solid spruce top and solid back/sides for not much more than $500. If you can get over the god awful ugly headstock they are supposted to be awsome for the money........but I havent played one myself.
Theres a solid spruce/mahog model for $300 right now with a day left. That one costs $525 free shipping on elderly

There is a electric/cutaway one for ya solid spruce/mahog
**damn diddent even see that one has some nice fishman electronics on it....the same ones on my D-16GTE......that guitar might be a steal but who knows what the reserve is
