i'm happy for you man. When I bought my first new guitar (my alvarez) I didn't like it for the first 3 months i owned it, then I got used to it and it broke in a bit.
Now i am in love.

oh man, you need a case. you really do. i got mine for 600 as well, it was 750 with case, tax, and everything.

its not just carrying it, you need to keep the guitar in good health.

i was looking in to the same exact guitar. It's the best one that I played at guitar center a few days ago. It sounds amazing. playability =

. I didn't plug it in, but i hear it sounds amazing amplified as well. As of right now, this is the guitar i'm gonna get. I shall look into it some more.

is it alright to just leave it on a guitar stand? whats different putting it in a case? my room temperature and humidy are very healthy and stable tho.

OOOOOOH YEAAAAHH.. I'm happy. Just traded my DM for the Takamine EG334SC. I love it. I got it down to 499 w/case. They gave me 400 for my DM in perfect condition. I love the smell of the ovangkol.. smells similar to rosewood. Great guitar!
