i got a tradition acoustic/electric mandolin a while back. i can't really play it in mandolin-style, but i can play is guitar style - sounds pretty damn cool. for some reason, i simply love playing the nature intro to billies on the mandolin. maybe because there's no stretching involved...
and playing eastern riffs on the mandolin? sounds awesome.
