I agree with Shane as well. I have played a ton of Taylor's....cause a Guitar Center is about a mile from my work, and I slip in there at lunch time alot to check them out.....and I greatly prefered the 714 over the 914. The cedar top makes the difference.

do they have the same bracing patterns? cause that makes a HUGE sound difference. if they do have the same bracing patterns... are the differences merely cosmetic?
They have two 914ce and 3 HD-28v's At myg uitar center...not to mention a OM-28v, which was incredible. Just may be the next guitar(OM-28v), I think Ill sell my 714.

all Taylors body styles have 1 bracing style. they dont vary between series.
