I believe it was the University of Virginia.

Go see things that won't disturb anyone:
1 - The Pink Warehouse is still there
2 - Millers is still going strong.
3 - The studio they used for the LWS/Summer So Far session
4 - Floodzone is still there
5 - Also there is the farm area that Dave and a few people own to grow organic produce so it wouldn't be developed

there are tons of places to see in c'ville. So yeah, let them live their personal lives and record their album

Also, about stalking, Dave has said that if he had a stalker, that person must be pretty damn bored, lol.

I know for a fact that he at least has a home in C'ville i dont know if he lives there all the time though.

I was pretty sure that Dave's studio was in New York. Both RCA and the one he owns. I could be wrong.

He also owns land just south of Charlottesville where he has a winery...a joint venture with someone else. My company does work for the Virginia Department of Transportation all over the state, and alot of it is in that area.....bridge work. Anyway, we stumbled across it by accident. Didn't even know it was Dave's untill later when I saw an article about his wine venture. Nothing special about it...looked no different than all the other land out there.

Yes Trax was torn down to make way for some other developement. I use to have pictures of the destruction in progress...can't find them now.

Dave's home is Charlottesville. Like others have said, he is temp staying in Washington while his wife attends school, and my guess is that he will always have a home there as well. Someone I know said they have seen his home out there and it is acctually quite modest....normal neighborhood.

One of my employees was driving on the interstate in VA near Charlottesville a couple of years ago and passed Dave...she slowed down so that she could pass him again to make sure. He was all alone driving a Subaru. She held up her Busted Stuff CD and he smiled at her. She did say that he drove slow like and old lady

I agree with Ranting's post. Charlottesville is an awesome place to take in by itself...you don't need to hunt down Dave. When you go there you can sense the influence it had on him. I was in love with the place long before I knew about Dave.

Personally, the only part of Dave that I "own" is the time when he's on stage.

When he's off stage he's just another dude, and frankly I don't like to be bothered by strangers and I can only assume Dave doesn't either.

why does everyone assume that a person would bother the shit out of dave. he is normal. we are normal. i would most likely be a bore to him so why the fuck would i bother him.

i just want to see some dmb things.

the swing on the front of UTTAD is from kennywood park
