Thats the difference right there. I don't mind people playing it in the parking lot or whatever. I don't usually play it on the way to the show, but it doesnt bother me.
I've always been about as far away as you can get. In fact at Pac Bell we were directly oppisite the stage at the very highest level of the nose bleed section (it really was as far away as you can be
). For the other show(with the annoying girls behind me) it was at Shoreline and the sound was all fucked up for everyone on the lawn so you could hear everything around you more so than the band. Towards the middle of the show everyone started yelling "louder" cause the sound was just too low and muffled. It was bad cirumstances but I stand by the fact that those girls were about as annoying as you'll ever encounter, it wasn't just the singing. Checkii would back me up on this.
LIOG that night was fucking amazing though.
i definetly can beleive that a bunch of little girls screaming in your ear would be annoying. and yeah being up close definetly has a whole new atmosphere, ive been as close as 3rd row at alpine valley. as far as playing guitar in the parking lot, i never had a problem with it...(i personally would never bring my guitar to a show....i paid way to much money for something tragic to happen to it or have it get pulled from a smashed window in m car) but again as long as it isnt dave...many times ive heard people playing dave songs and just butchering them before the show...not cool, and im not saying anyone here would butcher a song but in general
