dude...there are sooooooo many musicians that can do that to LLD, the just dont waste there time with it because they are all about creating their own music, but in johns case, he wants to be dave so he will work on those songs just like us...its making up a song like that in the first place that no one can do.

i'm just kidding-i think john said something like "thats a fun one to play at home" or something....i think john takes a lot of influence from dave but tries to joke about it so people won't think he's copying dave too much. i honestly think that mayer's style is different from dave's, its just that his presence and such tries to copy dave's. i think the main difference is that dave can write circles around john, both in guitar and lyrics (ESPECIALLY LYRICS). to be honest, i'd like to see john doing acoustic and electric instrumental pieces. i think that's where he should take himself if he wants to be a musician, rather than a pop image.
