Just my 2 cents here on this collaboration of the two songs on VH1 storytellers.
After viewing the video last night fot the first time and hearing this amazing performance of these two songs conjoined this way I was instantly hooked. I know its a little late to be making comments on the subject, but i was blown away for some reason. I've heard it before, but seeing it really sank in how something fairly easy could be so powerful.
I immediatley viewed the tabs/videos and watched Dave about five times before attempting it. It is not really a difficult song(s) to play and with a little ingenuity I was able to nail it and make it sound a bit fuller for soloing. From the looks of the few people I showed it to today I think it will definetly be a instant "campfire" hit.
Anyone having trouble with the more difficult songs should attempt to get this down. Like I said its not that difficult and it sounds good. Having the guitar dropped in D even makes the mistakes sound right to the laymen.
Forget about the reasons and the treasons we are seeking
Forget about the notion that our emotions can be swept away, kept at bay
Forget about being guilty, we are innocent instead
For soon we will all find our lives swept away

totally agree with you, brotha. DDTW and bartender are both great songs to play for people. both easy tunes and a lot of fun to play and sing to! rock on!
gotta agree too ... these two songs rocks ... have you noticed dave's face at the end of DDTW ... he seems almost evil! when you listen to the explanation of the song after, you really feel what he's singing for or what he wants us to understand ... gotta love that song!
Storytellers was an awesome idea and they(d+t) should do a new one every day of the week
I heard an interview with dave saying when he first wrote the song someone listened to it and said "call me when its finished" or something like that(austin city limits?). I fucking love the original way dave and tim used to play it.
I miss it acually........goes into shared folder and starts up storytellers.......
