i was wondering how i should play the following example. i've seen it a couple of times in the tabs on this site. any tips on playing it would help a lot.

e: 9
B: 9
G: 9
D: 8
A: 9
E:

jebro, almost all of those chord formations are played like this:

(numbers represent fingers, with pointer being 1 and pinky 4)

the 333 bit is a bar with the ring finger. if you're not used to it, it can be tricky at first, but with practise you'll get the hang of it.
