Fool to think chorus

So you're amazed as to how Dave's rhythm guitar slaps and strums so "perfectly"...but you can't. Ask all things about Dave and his guitars here.

Fool to think chorus

Post by lhndmb »

i don't think it has that pull off from 14p11. i watched dave play it recently and listened really closely, and saw him play all those notes. i'm also new here and wanted to say hi to everyone, but i've been using the site ever since jkanter started the original site way back when! great site too!

hello lhndmb,

yeah, from listening to the Benaroya show from October, it seems like he's playing this:

Chorus
Play in order shown for 1 go around

Code: Select all

E:--------------------------------
B:------------------------------------
G:------------14----------------------
D:-----11-12--12--11--14--11--12--12-- x4
A:-------------------------------------
E:-10----------------------------------
   1 2 3 4 2 4_2 3

E:-----------------------------------------
B:-----------------------------------------
G:------------14-------------------------
D:-----11-12--12--11--14--11--12--12- x2 then first part x2
A:-10--------------------------------
E:-----------------------------------
1 2 3 4 2 4_2 3

it's pretty much the same as Kanter's but with a few minor differences.
here's Kanter's so you can see where the difference is:

Chorus
Play in order shown for 1 go around

Code: Select all

E:--------------------------------
B:--------------------------------
G:------------14------------------
D:-----11-12-------11--14p11--12-- x4
A:--------------------------------
E:-10-----------------------------
   1 2 3 4 2 4_2 3

E:--------------------------------
B:--------------------------------
G:------------14------------------
D:-----11-12-------11--14p11--12-- x2 then first part x2
A:-10-----------------------------
E:--------------------------------
   1 2 3 4 2 4_2 3
good, and you?
