Tripping Billies - the violin solo at the end is amazing.
Ants Marching - the best Carter's snare has ever sounded
What Would You Say - the harmonica at the beginning makes the song

I agree with you. Well, mostly. I love the song Crash, but I hate what it has become on the radio and with all of the teeny-boppers. I don't scream for Dave to play it at shows, and if he did, I wouldn't lift my shirt and scream "I LOVE YOU DAVE!" Just my two cents.

I've never heard Stay or Leave sound better than on the companion disc to Some Devil (the 1st-run bonus disc).
No Stay or Leave I've heard, studio or live, even comes close. Dave's voice just sounds so much more powerful on that live track.
Any version of Stay or Leave is perfect though. And So Damn Lucky, Some Devil, Save Me, Up and Away, and Trouble are great songs. Grey Blue Eyes is good too.
This answer is very, very simple. The song that is best captured in the studio is:
PIG
...without a doubt, no questions asked. Dreaming Tree as a close 2nd...but Pig stands out far and beyond every other song as an album song. Listen to days voice with the violin in the background and Leroi's subtle sax in the background with Stefan's grooves driving it and Carter rolling those high hats like it's his job(which I hear it is!).

"Ain't Nothing Wrong, ain't nothing right and still I sit and lie awake all night" - DJ's(Sublime)

Its hard to argue against it. The Stone and then The Dreaming Tree through Spoon on BTCS are absolutely flawless.
you're hella smart. can you guess what my other favorite is?
