Subpar setlist, IMO, Not a single one of the songs I would have liked to have heard, and, to top it off, a one song encore. Well, two if you count PNP, but I would feel awefully cheated with a less than two full song encore.

i kinda like that set actually. minus the eveyday, WTWE, and closign with Too Much.
My real point is that they are mostly songs I have heard before, except of course for the new ones.
good point as well
First of all, I was at that show, and it was the worst DMB show i have ever seen, someone can do a search for that rant I did. God it was bad. I will say that it was a very powerful #41 that they opened it up with, it sounded great, but it was all downhill after that.
And look how Hebrew that encore is!!!
hahaha oh shit i remember seeing that thread one time. i didnt realize it was the same show. ha i read that and thought man that had to be horrible. way to toss in the jewness in a post by the way

You know what is funny though, At the time of that show I was going through what mbgreen is undergoing right now, military training at MCRD (although mbgreen is doing full-blown Marine boot camp, I was doing ROTC stuff), and that is what caused me to miss it. I remember being so pissed about not being able to go to any Dave show that summer. Glad to hear I didn't miss anything.

seriously, I wouldnt be complaining about seeing DAVE MATTHEWS BAND IN CONCERT!
I may never have the chance b/c of where I live and I am a poor bastard, If I seen dmb they could play an hour version od I Did It for all I care and I would love it....they could play "Mary Had a Little Lamb" over and over and I would love it

Buddy Guy did a version of Mary Had a Little lamb that rocked my world.

Because Buddy Guy is a higher being as far as blues is concerned.

I've never listened to the first night of the gorge box set more than once. except for ants, every version of every song is either inferior to another version or just plain shitty.

yeah, i rarely listen to disc one. just cuz his voice is horrible. but it seems on disc two that he stopped tryng to sing normal and he just altered it so it's different, but still good. OSW on disc 2 is pretty good i think. ants and gravedigger are also good
when im sick of the other discs i'll pop in disc one for a bit, but just to change it up.

yeah, except for the shows that I put in bold I would be pretty excited to see this concert. To each his own.
As far as worst show, I would say that the new Storytellers would be up there for the worst show that I have seen. Of the 100+ shows that I have, Storytellers 2 would be the worst.
If I was making up a worst possible setlist.

I agree with bold. I was going to choose jimi thing but I still like the funky sound of it.
I am confused. You like or don't like the bold? If you don't like the bold, you like I did it? And by I did it, I don't mean you get the version on D&T lost accoustics(I like this version). I am talking about the full band.

Jimi thing is nice but I'm over it.
I have seen Seek Up probably 15 times live. It seems that he opened every show I went to in 95-96 with Seek up. I think I've only heard Say Goodbye at the meadows in 96'. That's a good call.
