you write your own stuff now. you are already better than 99% of mainstream musicians judging by that list

I am exactly like that too. Go with some Jack Johnson. Most of it is very very easy but really fun. Good stuff to start training your ears with. Try playing the intro to Taylor and Do you Remember.

Classical Gas is a good one to play. It's somewhat challenging but if you know all of the Dave songs it shouldnt be a huge problem but will get your fingers moving.

Neon by John Mayer. Even if you hate John Mayer it is a good song to play.

Jesu, Joy of a Mans Desiring. Pretty much anything by Bach is good and somewhat challenging.

Ode to Joy. Its easy but takes a day to get right. Good song.

Stream by Tim Reynolds. This song is so fun because most of it is just improvistation. So you just memorize the written parts and screw around the rest of the song.

Does anyone have a really good tab for Jesu, Joy of Man's Desiring specifically in standard tuning with/without capo? All of the one's I've found are really weird and I've been wanting to work on this one for awhile. Thanks!
If you want to be the popular one at a party, here's a good thing to do: Go up to some people who are talking and laughing and say, "Well, technically that's illegal." It might fit in with what somebody just said. And even if it doesn't, so what, I hate this stupid party.

I can tell you one thing. You're better than I am and I've played guitar for about 5 years. I never push myself to get any better now though. I'd rather just learn about music itself and then later apply it to guitar, which is what I do

Thanks so much for that tab, damn I love this song. And I couldn't believe my ears when I heard Bela Fleck laying it over the Last Stop Reprise on that LiveTrax release.

Kyle, that is one BEAUTIFUL recording of that song. Rock on, my friend.
