Sounds sweet.

I am so happy. Clips suck because they deceived the crap out of me. I said to have faith though because it's the Dave Matthews Band!

Just got done listening to the VH1 stream for the 2nd time. I'm really liking this. I definitely take back anything negative I had to say earlier. I really think this album rocks!!

I gotta say, I enjoyed it lot more than i expected. My only complaint is the lyrics seem a bit weak at times. In the website videos and various interview they talk about how different their approach was to writing these songs and i feel its very evident. Where as on past albums the much of the material had been played live giving the songs more time to develop. I see alot of room for these songs to grow and i think many of them will become crowd favorites, but i doubt lyrically they will change. Just seems that many of them were rushed as far as lyric content, and were recorded too soon. This summer tour is going to rock though.

Yeah it seems like they really focused on the musical aspect of the songs a lot more than the lyrical, which is ok with me because when you hear them in concert, what are you thinking more about.. what he's saying or how it all sounds. I think they were definately thinking more of the live playing aspect first and then coming up with lyrics that fit the beats.

Overall I like the album...very different sound but overall, it's pretty solid.

You can tell that the trip to South Africa with Trey had alot of influence on the album. Alot of the songs have a pretty heavy African influence, especially the guitar riffs. I dig it.

Yeah! I missed it the first couple of times but, yeah, I dig that. It has a kind of "worldly" feel to it. Right on, man.

Anyone else get a kind of Watchtower feel/groove in there? Much better song than the clip leads on at any rate.

Some of this cd reminds me of the Paul Simon CD graceland due to the African influence. Lousiana Boyou really reminds me of the that cd due to the guitar.

I agree. Graceland was a definite change in direction for Paul Simon musically, possibly DMB is as well.
