DADGAD is the most popular tuning for Celtic fingerstyle guitar. Some artists you may want to look into are Martin Simpson, Al Petteway, and Laurence Juber.
Laurence Juber is far from strictly Celtic, he does a few tunes in that style, though. He arranges a lot of pop songs for solo fingerstyle guitar in DADGAD, including an entire album of Beatles arrangements.
He was also the guitarist in Wings for quite a while.

DADGAD can also make a fine folk/country tuning, I wrote a pair of songs on it that have a mandolin style sound to them.

What songs does he play guitar on? Also, as Zeppelin's carreer got towards the end, John Pual was playing mostly keyboards live.Ryeguy wrote:aww lucky.. i wish i was stoned... anyways.. yeah john paul was a guitar player as well.. just played bass and mandolin mostly. but he played guitar. and learn black mountain side if you want a challenge.. you gottta use pick and fingers to play it right though.

yeah, i didn't think he played guitar either until I saw this photo of Page, Plant, and him. It was during an acoustic set, Page was playing the mandolin and Jones was on the acoustic. My guess they were playing Going to California, Thats the Way.. He also has a triple guitar(6 string, 12 string, ?mandolin?) which I have a video of him playing.. I have no idea if he used that guitar during Led Zeppelin or not, but I have seen a video on the internet of him playing it.
