i got my new guitar!

i finally made the trip down to guitar center again, its a 2 hour drive, so its a big event when i get to go, well, i got the $300 back for the ibanez ael20tbs that i was returning, and when the guy showed me to the acoustic guitar roomy place they have in there, the first one he showed me was a Martin DCX1E, which was $650, i hope that was a good price for one, i dont really know but it sounded like an agreeable price for a martin, anyways, thats the one i got, and i love it! does anyone else have one?

I have that guitar. I love it. It's a great gig guitar. If it gets beer, food, etc... spilled on it, no big deal because it's cheap to replace. The sound of it rivals my other acoustics, including my Martin D16RGT.

Great choice.

I bought a 000X1 from a guitar center, and I love it. It still has that same martin tone even with HPL back and sides. I really play it more than a lot of my others just because it plays so easy...just needed a little truss rod adjustment and the action was perfect.

Edit:
I'm not sure if Martin did this with the DCX1E, but on the 000X1 they put striped ebony fretboard and bridge, which they usually reserve for higher end special edition guitars and stuff. I heard they had an overstock of them and put it on some lower end guitars (X series), so look at the fretboard and bridge and see if its black with slight grey stripes through it. If it has it, its striped ebony, if not, I think its supposed to be micarta.......but it isn't that big of a deal, its just cool. 8)

i bought that guitar over winter break and didn't want to bring it back to school on a plane, but i can't wait to get home and play it - i love it, have fun with it
