Tremolo Picking....

I need some tips on how to do the above. I'm pretty sure I'm doing it right..i could be wrong, so how do you guys do it?

i rest my hand on the bridge... it helps a lot... a friend of mine (amazing at guitar) describes tremolo picking as alternate picking on cocaine... just keep that in mind..

just be careful and use as little of the pick as possible to strike the string, it'll make it much easier

So basically..use the tip of the pick...and pick really really really really really fast? The only thing I dont get now is someone said angling your pick at a funky angle....what about that?

when you angle your pick it should be at about a 45 degree angle. this might be hard to explain the direction but here goes...

your pick should still be pointing straight at the strings, but your index finger and thumb should be on opposite ends of the pick so that when you slightly press the fingers together, the pick will turn slightly.

its really good to play like that all the time, as the pick "slices" through the string easier that way.

Whenever Im trem picking I usually find that my pinky on my right hand is extended and rests right above the bridge. This acts as an anchor sort of and keeps my hand from going all over the place. Also practice scales, and modes with trem picking individual notes. Don't fly through them, just get accurate. Remeber what you practice slow will lock your hand into a routine for when you play fast.

Do you use the tip of the pick like you usually do when playing or the sides?

the tip, using the sides makes it harder for the pick to pass by and you often get a harsh tone...

Hey everyday, i noticed you live in Belmar, i live in middletown. How old are you (i'm only 14 and not to good) but maybe we could jam or you could show me something sometime. I took lessons for a year but am on my own now.
