The ovations pretty nice but I don't use it for gigs because of sound I use it because I can't plug in my other guitars. The ovation has a good sound unplugged, and a nice clean sound plugged in. The yamaha has more of a bold crisp sound but not clean, does that make sense? It's hard to explain in words :) Oh and the sunlite sucks, you can barely hear hammer ons and pull offs, cause the frets are so low cause its a real beginners guitar

yeah, my Ibanez is not bright. With the brightest strings, it still give out very deep chorusy sound if that makes sense lol. Good when plugged tho.

It's really hard to describe sound in words, haha :D I like the sound of my yamaha, and I considered putting a natural bridge pickup in it, but with labor it would be worth more than the yamaha itself, so I'm just saving for a new guitar all together that already has a pickup. 8) And I love the finish of my yamaha, I thinks it's tobacco burst or something.

This is my Yairi DY-91. Yairis are great and often overlooked guitars IMO. I picked it up new for $1300. I would compare it to a Taylor as far as action goes. Not quite as fast but damn close. The sound is fairly unique because the back is and sides are solid Koa. Overall I'm very happy with it, the only complaint is I would like to have a little more base response then the Koa provides.

For this reason I was looking at a Martin D-35. I got a decent quote on one set up just the way I want it but I think I'm going to wait a few months and get the HD-35. After all a guitar can last you a lifetime so better to do it up right.

I got the TRC and rosewood tuner buttons from Bill Nichols http://www.nicholsguitars.com My girlfriends mom made the pic box from scratch with a wood burner or something (it was a birthday gift) As far as the silly captions (8th fret, etc...) I posted those pics in a different post a while ago back when everyone was posting pics of their room and shit, and everyone was just making silly captions, so I did likewise.
