Good ol' Two Step

So you're amazed as to how Dave's rhythm guitar slaps and strums so "perfectly"...but you can't. Ask all things about Dave and his guitars here.

Good ol' Two Step

Post by Teego Time »

So I've finally gotten enough stamina and skill to play Two Step and sing to it. But I've been getting a lot of buzzing when I play. Any suggestions on how to remedy this, besides increasing the action?

again? psuah!
ya

ok if it's the noted strings that buzzing do what i said in the first post if it the muted strings it's one of two things.

!: one of your ifngers is slightly hitting the string, so it buzzes, kinda like harmonics, but not :roll

2:too much pressure on that string, loosen it up a bit

the easieest wya to get Dave mutings that are chords, is basically mute with a finger close to it

Code: Select all

E--3
B--0
G--0
D--0
A--x
E--3
so the finger that gets the 3 on the low bass string, mutes the A string, you just kinda lower the finger a bit.

Code: Select all

E
B
G--10
D--x
A--8
E--10
that chord from two step, basically the note that gets the 8 mutes the D string

I used to start off with using an extra finger to mute. so instead of having the finger that gets the 8 on the A string mute the D, i would use the other finger and place it over
