busted stuff question (standard)

So you're amazed as to how Dave's rhythm guitar slaps and strums so "perfectly"...but you can't. Ask all things about Dave and his guitars here.

busted stuff question (standard)

Post by paywad927 »

for the chords in the verse that have the D and G strings played open(x300xx), how can you mute the B and E strings when you play those chords? or are you just supposed to not hit them? any tips are appreciated

Random movie quote to make you seem hip and "with it": I'm thinking about getting metal legs. It's a risky operation, but it'll be worth it.

its played with your fingers, not a pick. So just use your thumb, index, and middle fingers to pluck the strings.

are you sure you dont use a pick? i use a pick on this song (standard tuned) and i have been able to pick just those strings fine.

you can play it with your fingers or a pick. I believe Dave has done both. On the album he is using his fingers (busted stuff and lillywhite). But whatever works for you.
