i was restringing my guitar, and i was pushing the low e over so i could cut the end off so it wouldnt cut me if my arm toched it. and it stuck really far into my finger... hurt a minute, then i tried to play, (biiiiiiig mistake) hurts like hell now...

any way to make this heal faster or cut down on the pain?

Don't cut the ends off all the way! Either leave a little and curl 'em or wiggle them around as clost to the post and they break off perfectly. I just did this yesterday while restringing. The wiggle thing breaks the string so there isn't any excess hanging up w/ sharp points. If I had a digital camera...I'd show ya what I mean.

Yup, I'm with you NJ. The wiggle-thingy works really well and just make sure that the strings are cut close enough or it'll cut you again... had that happen last week  I bled everywhere; needless to say, I was not pleased, lol
