i'm going to have to agree with ranting on this one

some people still think it's okay to say nigger, but obviously it's not

just because 'gay' has a certain niche in many peoples' vocabularies, that doesn't mean that we shouldn't try to change that

they're taking all the traits of a stereotypical band member -- geeky, nerdy, weak, bleh bleh...and using a negative gay stereotype to summarize that person...i'd feel pretty insulted if people used 'white person' to describe everything that is now described as 'gay'

honestly, i would laugh if the new phrase was "damn, thats so white"
i dunno, i think i'm just on the side of "its not going away anytime soon"

as insensitive as that sounds, i think everyone can agree thats the truth

i disagree completely.... the "N" word isn't even in the same ballpark here and shouldn't even be compared... "Gay" in the context of which it was used is trivial in comparison to 'N--" ...just my opinion

society is desensitized to the word 'gay' as being negative

just like it was for 'nigger' being negative

calling a homosexual a 'fag' though, that's probably a better comparison since it's more parallel, but the idea is the same...it's wrong
